Five Podcasts for Moms

Ok, so we’ve suggested these podcasts for moms, but in the non-traditional sense. There will be no potty-training tips, discussions of baby-led weaning, or how to tackle diastasis recti. Rather, these podcasts are for women who are at a certain stage of their lives and might need a little comic relief, some spiritual inquiry, insight into current affairs or just pure entertainment. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

We all need a little comic relief to get us through some of our parenting woes, and these two hosts deliver while dispensing advice to help you get your shit together. Like how much is too much to spend on pillows? Or what exactly is proper relationship pooping etiquette?

The Moth

I am in love with this storytelling podcast. I promise you will laugh or cry at least once during every episode. And you’re sure to learn something too.

The High Low

Dolly Alderton and Pandora Sykes present this tight podcast where they discuss pop culture and current affairs replete with observant witticisms, whether discussing right-wing radicalism, Drake, MeToo or the burdens of emotional labor.

A brilliant true-crime podcast. Need I say more?

On Being

Host Krista Tippett takes us on a thoughtful journey of self-exploration and spiritual inquiry. Recent episodes include Brené Brown discussing how to be our best selves and Alain de Botton discussing the hard work involved in maintaining relationships.
